Coming Soon!  We will be going on our 'book-buying' trip the end of October which coincides with our first big fundraiser for the library, our Barnes & Noble Book Fair!  It will be held on Saturday, October 29th from 11 to 3 at Barnes & Noble.  There will be face-painting, costume contests, carved jack-o-lantern contests, Think-fun games, and more!  This is a wonderful event with fun, candy, and absolutely 'oodles' of fantastic books to browse.  I will have my laptop available to check on Accelerated Reader quiz availability on any books you might wish to purchase for your students.  Remember absolutely EVERYTHING in the store counts toward our Book Fair, even coffee and snacks!  This is at NO additional cost to you!  Just tell the cashier, "I'm with Pioneer School," and whatever you purchase goes toward our Book Fair! 
Your children love this event and all the fun activities/contests that we have planned for their enjoyment!  I truly hope to see ALL of you there!  If you cannot attend during the hours we are there, your purchases will still count if you let them know you are with Pioneer School!

WELCOME BACK!

I'm so glad to see everyone again! My summer was a very quiet summer as I spent it recuperating from shoulder surgery! It went by in a blur of doctor appointments and therapy appointments! Bleah! The good part is that my arm is getting better! YAY!
I was glad to hear from so many of my students telling me of all the great trips and activities they enjoyed this summer! Awesome everyone! Please post to this blog entry and let us all know of all the fantastic memories you made this summer! I can't wait to hear all about them! Just make sure you tell me 'who' is posting!
The QSP magazine sales will kick off on September 2nd this year. This is a quick and easy way to raise money for our school library! Magazines are another great method of getting in your daily reading! The more money we raise, the more new books we can purchase this year! Let's make this the best year yet!

HOT DELICIOUS PANCAKES!

Tomorrow is our annual Pancake Breakfast Family Event! Although the weather is supposed to be a frosty -4 degrees, Mr. Russell and Mr. Seavy will be steaming up the lunchroom flipping fresh hot pancakes.

Since it will be too cold to go outside after eating, Mr. Higareda and Mrs. Palmieri will be running a movie, Alpha and Omega over in Mrs. Russell's room. What a way to start a morning! Hot pancakes and uber-cool movie!
